Ingredients
For the salad
- 250g salmon fillet, cut into cubes or left whole
- 1 tbs ground chipotle or smoked paprika
- 4-6 strawberries, thinly sliced
- 1/2 mango, cut into cubes
- 1 head of romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1 bunch of cilantro
- 1 shallot, thinly sliced
- 1 lebanese cucumber, thinly sliced
For the salad sauce
- 4 strawberries, roughly chopped
- 1/2 mango, cut into cubes
- 1 clove garlic, roughly chopped
- 1/4 cup Casa Das Tias Piri Piri sauce (medium or hot)
- 3 tbs of water
- 1 tbs maple syrup
- Salt and pepper
Preparation
- Put all the ingredients of the salad dressing in a blender. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Rub the salmon with the spices, salt and pepper.
- Heat a drizzle of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the salmon 3-4 minutes on each side or more depending on thickness.
- Mix all the ingredients of the salad with the sauce in a bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- You can add some nuts to your salad to add some crunch.
- Keep the rest of the salad dressing for your future salads or marinades.
